Our Class is designed for inexperienced or new backpackers. The boot camp combines hiking and camping in a backcountry setting. Our primary goal is to help members become self sufficient and confident with their gear and gain the skills required to be safe while hiking..
This event will involve hiking a total of approximately 10 miles over 2 days. The terrain where we will be hiking contains steep hills, ravines, drop offs, ledges, and rocky terrain, and can be strenuous at times. The trails may also be wet, slippery, muddy, and rocky. Drinking water will be obtained and filtered from area creeks or rivers.
